Microbiome & Digestive Health Testing
Modern science is rapidly catching up with what ancient healing modalities have known for centuries - our digestion is fundamental to our whole health, and affects every system of our body.
Microbiome imbalances can impact our mental health, skin, allergies, autoimmune conditions, joints, and much more.
Georgina partners with York based company, GutMapDx, to offer microbiome and digestive health testing. For some patients this can be a key piece of the puzzle to understanding their health, and how to get back into balance.

At-home stool testing
Partnering with GutMapDx, I now offer simple at-home stool tests that will give insight into your microbiome and digestive health. We can check for a wide range of microbes, including bacteria, parasites, viruses, fungi, archaea and more as well as markers that can show how well your gut is functioning overall. This will provide insight into digestive inflammation, immune response, and leaky gut; and can be a useful piece of the puzzle as we work to uncover the causes of a wide range of symptoms, including bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, or fatigue. Test results can guide us to refine options for dietary, lifestyle, and herbal treatments.

How does it work?
The process is simple - book and pay for your test, and I will arrange for the kit to be sent to you. Take a sample from your toilet paper and send it to the lab with the prepaid envelope. It will take three weeks or so for the sample to be processed and results will be sent to me, and we will then sit down, either face to face or on zoom, to review the results in the context of your holistic health picture, and I will develop your treatment plan. We can then schedule follow up appointments as needed.
It is also possible to access testing without herbal support, and additional allergy testing is available - please get in touch with me via email if you would like to explore this.
