Georgina is a member of the National Institue of Medical Herbalists, continuing a rich tradition of using plants as medicine, to treat and to heal a wide range of conditions and complaints, such as skin issues, inflammatory conditions, digestive dysfunction, hormonal imbalances, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, and much, much more.

She practices from a clinic in Pocklington, where she is available for consultations, and also offers home visits in Driffield and local villages.

Living medicine

Herbal medicine is truly extraordinary - just like people, every plant that we work with is different, with its own personality and gifts; each plant offers a unique and complex blend of chemistry that when well blended in formula, can help us heal on many levels - body, mind, soul.

All medicines are made from whole herbs, either by me from plants both grown and responsibly foraged, or by trusted UK suppliers. The Haven Herbal Dispensary is also stocked with a wide range of medicines for common ailments, and is available to registered patients (you do not have to book a consultation to register with the dispensary).

One to one consultations

A herbal medicine consultation is an opportunity to tell your story, explore your health - both current challenges and past medical history - and understand how plant medicines can support you to accomplish a dynamic balance of health and wellbeing. A consultation will last about an hour and a quarter, and include a blood pressure check, examination of pulses and tongue, and a comprehensive case history. We will discuss a treatment plan and I will create a bespoke herbal prescription and blend your medicine, which may be in the form of infusions, tinctures, capsules, and/or topical applications and we will then follow up periodically along the way.

Cost of treatment

Appointments are currently offered in Pocklington, as well as home visits in Bainton and surrounding villages. For the rest of 2024, I will be offering all new patients 25% off all initial and follow up appointments:

Initial appointment (1hr 15mins) £45 (usually £60)

Follow up appointment (45 mins) £33 (usually £45)

Herbal prescriptions vary in cost, depending on formulation, but will be between £6-20/week
