SO FAR.....
THE STORY
Like much of my life, this website is a work in progress. Its been put together in fistfuls of time snatched from between school run, work, gym, life admin, meditation and everything else that makes up my days. I'm not great at promoting myself, or saying out loud, "Yes, I'm bloody good at this, and I work hard to do the best I can for my clients", but I'm getting better.
I grew up as an only child and probably a bit of a wierdo. I always felt at home laid on the grass, at eye level with the yarrow and shepherds purse, with roses above my head. I feel blessed to have found good friends, and to have had London and Brighton as our playground as we grew through our teens. I travelled in India and Nepal after completing my A levels and my heart was opened when I discovered the practical wisdom of Buddhist teachings which truly are the cornerstone of my life.
I studied English Literature at the University of Birmingham, and after spending several years working in Buddhist Centres around in the UK I trained as a Funeral Celebrant back in 2011. I became a wife at 35 and a mum at 36, and as I approached the end of my 30's, I decided it was now or never to train as a herbalist. I've had my own health challenges and am grateful everyday to the amazing community at our gym for getting me back on my feet - literally. I feel thankful to be able to draw upon all I have learnt and experienced thus far to support those I work with through some of the most challenging aspects of life - loss, change, illness, transitions.
I now work in East and North Yorkshire as a celebrant and a herbalist. I probably don't have the balance right, especially when you add in family time, fun time, rest time, spiritual practice, fitness and all the other responsibilities that come with this human existence..... but I love my life, and I strive every day to make it useful and beautiful.
I just wanted to say thank you so much. For us, everything felt just right. Of course we knew what you would say, but the way you delivered it was so gentle and compassionate. And other people told us they found it kind and honest, just as we hoped.
